Extended Hours


The surgery also offers extended hours appointments (by prior appointment only) from 06.30 pm to 08.00 pm Monday to Friday.


Telephone lines are open from 08.00 am to 06.30 pm Monday to Friday.


The surgery is closed at weekends and on Public or Bank Holidays (although the Walk-In Centre in the same building is open on these days - see below).


Out Of Hours (Evenings and Weekends)


Out of hours services for the surgery are provided by Barndoc. They can be contacted for help or advice between 06.30 pm and 08.00 am weekdays and all day at weekends and on Bank or public Holidays. They be contacted through the new NHS 111 service.

NHS 111 is a service that offers free expert health information and advice for non-emergency healthcare 24-hours a day - just dial 111 from any phone. Calls are free from landlines and mobiles.


If you have difficulties communicating or hearing, you can use the NHS 111 service through a textphone by calling 18001 111.


Edmonton NHS Walk-in Centre


At weekends (Saturday and Sunday) and on bank holidays Edmonton NHS Walk-In Centre is open from 8.00 am to 8.00 pm for treatment of minor injuries and illnesses. The Walk-In Centre is located in Evergreen Primary Care Centre, 1 Smythe Close, Edmonton, N9 0TW tel 0208 887 8355. You do not need an appointment and you will be seen in the order of arrival, subject to any emergencies.


Please note that the walk-in centre does not operate a dressings service.


The walk-in centre is no longer open on weekdays.


Accident and Emergency/999


Whatever the day or time, if you or someone else experiences severe chest pain, loss of blood or suspected broken bones, go to your nearest accident and emergency department or call 999. Accident and emergency departments are open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and can assess serious injuries and provide emergency treatment.
